All Kraftwerks supercharger systems feature advanced technology and our 2019 to 2021 Yamaha YXZ 1000R Supercharger System is no different. With a centrifugal supercharger unit at its core, our kit offers superior reliability and huge power gains with zero boost lag. Due to its unique frictional planetary roller drive, the compressor produces boost with greater efficiency and cooler air temperatures than traditional forced induction methods.
The supercharger delivers smooth, linear, instant power delivery through the entire rev range to give predictable, precise control during throttle input. This allows complete command over engine power, whether crawling through a boulder-filled trail or attempting to conquer the highest hilltop.
Boost is raised to 7.5psi, 2 psi higher than previous years, thanks to Yamaha’s inclusion of upgraded GYTR connecting rods in this generation YXZ 1000R. In-house dyno testing showed power increasing to 140 wheel horsepower in stock trim- A 60% power increase over factory! Additionally, higher power levels can easily be achieved with sufficient header and exhaust upgrades.
To keep things protected, the supercharger’s belt drive system is held within our environmentally sealed housing attached to the CNC machined crankcase cover. This allows for complete submersion in water or mud without effect while also shielding from dirt, rocks, and other debris. The housing is also black anodized for further protection.
The replacement intake airbox and washable filter increases airflow over stock. An enhanced airbox filtration design keeps airborne particulates and debris in the intake system to a minimum, protecting the supercharger unit.
For off road adventures where high temperatures and hostile terrain are the enemy, our Kraftwerks YXZ 1000R Supercharger System offers high reliability, superior physical protection, and optimized system cooling.
The included tig-welded air-to-air intercooler keeps the air charge cool and dense while the supercharger’s own separate oil cooling system keeps physical operating temperatures at a minimum. With the intercooler mounted just above the radiator and the supercharger’s oil cooler sandwiched between, a provided FRP shroud ducts air through the entire assembly. This optimizes air flow through each cooler while also offering external physical protection.
The included shroud is paint-ready with a black gel-coat but an upgraded carbon-fiber shroud is available for purchase separately.
