The JBR TRU-3.0 Wide Path Intake System for the Focus ST is constructed out of mandrel bend 6061 aluminum and is all one piece. There are no couplers mid way to disrupt and reduce air flow.
Since Ford has done an excellent job engineering the stock cold air box, we chose to leave that alone. It's design delivers fresh, cool, oxygen rich air from the very front of the vehicle to your engine. Making the connection from the JBR intake to the factory cold air box, we've included a 6 layer wire reinforced induction hose to replace the restrictive factory accordion hose. Also included are wide stainless steel T-bolts clamps that ensure tight, leak free connections and make for a professional looking build.
Knowing that the intake and induction hose alone won't provide much of increase in power, We've chosen to offer a Hi-flow, Hi-Performance air filter from Green Filter USA as an option with our intakes.
The deep pleats in the double-layered cotton of the Green Filter create a 10-15% increase in filtration surface. This increase allows a greater volume of air to move more freely into your engine while maintaining superior filtration. The specially designed cotton filter traps particles as small as 5 microns. Steel wire mesh encases the cotton filter, providing strength and dent resistance. *Independent testing has shown as much as a 6.7% increase in horse power and as much as a 5.7% increase in fuel mileage with just the use of a Green Filter.
