Through the accumulation of over 15 years of ongoing research and statistical analysis, we are proud to introduce our new v3 Metal Plate LSD applications for BMW and Honda. A commonly known weakpoint with Plate type LSD's are the ears on the Plates. When subjected to high loads, they can regularly break off from the main plate surface. With the new MFactory v3 Metal Plate LSD, which uses our 2nd Generation Active Friction Plates (originally developed for our competition Touring Cars), the surface area of each ear is increased substantially, significantly increasing durability. In addition, our Cold-Forged Spider Gears are now subjected to an advanced ceramic surface coating, significantly decreasing surface friction and increasing surface hardness by 30%!
In partnership with OZ Performance Drivetrain of Australia, we are proud to introduce our new v3 Metal Plate LSD - OZ Series applications for BMW and Honda. A commonly known issue with Plate type LSD's is the associated NVH (noise, vibration, harshness) during low speed manoeuvres, especially noticeable on a daily driver. With the new MFactory v3 Metal Plate LSD - OZ Series, our Active Friction Plates incorporate specially designed oil channels and a proprietary 3-Stage Nano-Peen process, helping to reduce NVH by as much as 50%
